Course Objectives
The purpose of this course is to prepare students for the PMP® certification exam that is offered by the Project Management Institute. Although you will learn about project management from attending this course, the 14-week course is a structured review of the PMBOK® Guide, 4th Edition led by experienced, practicing project managers and is focused on:
• Providing a thorough review of the PMBOK® Guide • Providing explanation of tools & techniques described in the PMBOK® Guide • Helping you determine your weaknesses and concentrate your study efforts • Providing tips and tricks for taking the exam Student Commitment Preparing for the PMP® Exam is not an easy task. Former class participants have informed us that you can expect to spend 4-8 hours per week to adequately prepare for the exam. This course will prepare you to achieve your goal of successfully passing the PMP® Exam. This will be accomplished by reviewing the concepts, terminology, tools and techniques based on the project management processes that you can apply in the “real world” to your projects. This course will help you stay focused on your goals. One benefit of this course is you are not going it alone. You will have the opportunity to meet other project management practitioners, discuss with them their study habits, discover learning insights, and share different tips and tricks to provide you valuable information.
